The Elk area we hunt is 5800 – 8000 feet elevation. Elk live in rugged country and hunting them can be challenging. We operate a small camp on mostly private property, which allows us to customize each day of your hunt. Over the past 30 years we have realized the importance and developed our facilities to allow hunters with limited hiking ability to also experience excellent hunting opportunities. Remember ….. marksmanship, desire and the ability to hike are measurable factors that can increase your odds of success.
RIFLE SEASON HUNTS – Open late October through the Sunday after Thanksgiving. – 6 Day Hunt – $5950
ELK ARCHERY HUNTS – Bow hunts start in early September and run through the middle of October. – 6 Day Hunt – $5950
In the “pre-rut” portion of the season, we hunt exclusively from tree stands. We have found this to be most effective. Later in the season as the bulls enter full rut; tree stands along with still hunting and calling are utilized. Few hunting experiences can compare to calling in a bull to within a few yards. You’ll never forget it!
Wild West Combo –
This hunt is for the diehard hunters! Hunt elk for five days and big bucks for four more with a day of travel in between. 10 Day Hunt- $8950 / hunter. Call early for your reservations. Space is limited! Wild West Outfitters guarantees an experience you won’t soon forget.
LICENSING – the application window is in March each year. It is an on-line process and we are happy to help with this process for you.
